La
Cala Golf Course Information
La
Cala Golf Club is recognised by The Royal Federation of Spanish
Golf as being the biggest golf resort in Spain.
La
Cala golf club features three breathtaking 18 hole courses in a
spectacular setting. According to course designer Cabell Robinson,
all 3 courses are very different in character, giving golfers a
great choice of options.
Campo
America (Par 73), formerly La Cala North, is a very hilly and spectacular
golf course often with great height differences between tee and
green which has been designed to use the natural features of the
terrain to challenging effect. A long drive is a distinct advantage
and straight hitting is a must to avoid the deep gorges lining the
fairways.
Campo
Asia (Par 72), formerly La Cala South golf course, is slightly flatter
than Campo America but still exciting and challenging for all levels
of golfer. On this tighter, slightly shorter golf course, accuracy
is rewarded rather than the long drive.
The
brand new Campo Europa Course (Par 71) will offer similar challenges
to the other La Cala golf courses but has advantages for the average
golfer. The fairways are more generous from the tees and the greens
are slightly larger than on the other two golf courses. The scenery
is no less dramatic with the river Ojen playing a part in eight
holes and cutting across three fairways.
